Hi, I'm Jewel and I live in the northern part of Florida not too far from the Georgia line. I am originally from Miami, Florida and moved up here in 1986 just to get away from all the big city life. I have four children, five grandchildren and a brand new little great grand daughter. I raise Toy Poodles and Yorkshire Terriers and in my spare time, I make web pages, do computerized machine embroidery, sew and quilt. I like to do other crafts when I can find the time for them. I also have horses, tropical fish, birds and one Standard Poodle that is my constant shadow. I collect everything Poodle from figurines to stuffed Poodles.
I have been sewing since I was very young, but only got into machine embroidery about two years ago and just started to quilt last year. I really never had a desire to quilt until I saw some cute little sunbonnets that I could embroider. That sparked an interest and I started by trial and error, but when I got my first quilt finished for my granddaughter, I was hooked on quilting. I only do machine quilting so far and combine it with my embroidery, but who knows, I may learn to piece quilts yet. I have the SuperQuilter and have great plans to do lots of quilts in the future. I am a fabric-aholic and just have to shop for fabric anywhere I can, just in case I may need it, :). I only have totes and drawers filled to the brim and stacked to the ceiling and under the bed, in the closet and all the different stacks make for an unusually colorful bedspread on my spare bed in the guest room. I have enough fabric along with embroidery and sewing machines to open a shop my kids tell me, but what can I say, the devil made me do it. They say I am just spending all their inheritance, but they just don't understand as now I have just made it easier for them because they don't have to worry about that any more........it is all gone already!!!
